Currently we're on a PACA run based at Eden on the South Coast of New South Wales. A small convoy of 3 Packards travelled down from Sydney with others coming from North and West of Sydney, some others travelling independently from Sydney while others still came from Canberra, Victoria and South Australia. About a dozen Packards in all from '29 to '56. Numbers of participants is about 35, a great roll up. Staying at the Twofold Bay Motel and it's good, I recommend it! Link to an album of pic's of our trip, including a stop at Ulladulla to visit with a PACA member, who was away on business as it turned out, but we still got to see a great collection! picasaweb.google.com/107657757915608915830/EdenDay1

Day 2 saw us partake of a really delightful cruise around Twofold Bay aboard the Cat-Balou. Great history of whaling, a magnificent harbour with wonderful features. Besides commercial activities with Bulk containers, the bay is largely untouched and the water crystal clear. All the better to be able to enjoy the Pod of Dolphins which joined us. There were also seals and lots of seabirds. After lunch at a cafe on the wharf you could visit the Marine Discovery Centre and the Killer Whale Museum. Day 3 Started with a visit to the Sapphire Coast Historic Vehicle Clubs's premises near Pambula. An impressive setup owing to the hardwork of members combined with some wonderful donations of equipment and of course the land on which it stands. Three buildings comprising a spacious club house, about a 6 bay workshop complete with hoist and a large storage shed with about 30 vehicles housed therein. From the SCHVC it was on to Oakdale, a facility encompassing a cafe/restaurant, shops, gardens etc where we stopped for a pleasant lunch. Next stop was Adams Classic Cars saleyard at Pambula itself Final stop was Wheelers Oyster Farm where we were given an excellent talk and demonstration on the techniques of a revolutionary form of Oyster Farming. A tasting of the "product" followed before returning to Eden at dusk. Link to Day 3 Album - picasaweb.google.com/107657757915608915830/EdenDay3

Day 4 - Final day of the run proper. This was to the WW2 Bunker Museum near Mallacoota on the Victorarian side of the border. After morning tea, a tour of the bunker and a very interesting and informative talk on it's history, then a bag lunch followed. After lunch the Victorian PACA members, already having a head start on their return trip, headed home while the rest returned to Eden. Day 5 - The NSW PACA members returned home, this being the Tuesday after the long weekend, allowing for a non traffic congested return journey. We, Kath Noel and I together with GeoffC took the opportunity to call in and see PACA member EleanorS's '22 Tourer, a very original Packard, which is coming up for sale. A lovely car which if I could, I'd buy! Link to Day 5 Album - picasaweb.google.com/107657757915608915830/EdenDay5
