Just wondering if any body can assist who would be a company or shop which may sell whitewall tyres around Sydney at reasonable figures. Thanks

G'day scottb, Welcome to the PACA Website Forums. There's a sting in the tail of your question of " sell whitewall tyres around Sydney at reasonable figures". The wide whitewalls for our older cars always seem to come at a premium, sometimes a very high premium! You could try David Stewart of Antique Tyre Service 4/15 Bosci Rd, Ingleburn NSW 2565, Ph 02 9618 2788. They sell Coker Tyres Another possibility is John Cain at BROADMEADOW NSW 2292, Ph 02 4946 6171 or Mob 0407 283 454. He sells Diamondback Tyres. I have a set of Diamondbacks on my Packard, hard riding because they are made using light truck 8 ply cases. But have good wear, been on for about 15,000 miles and still LOTS of tread. There's also Russell Holden from Mudgee who imports tyres. Here's a link to his website www.oldworldlamps.net/about_us_1.htmlAnd I invite you to join PACA if you have a Packard. You can download a Membership Application form from the menu on the Website. Had to ask that, after all I'm Secretary of the Club!

Just noticed a 41 Coupe 110 on Gumtree, not sure how to create a link so will leave that to the more computer literate. Thank you

Hello all, I've just joined the forum; hoping this will be a good source of Australian-based help for my project. My family has a 1935 Eight 2/4 Coupe; which has been very neglected since we obtained it in the 80s. I joined the PACA in the 80s for a while in the hope of restoring it then, but having a family and other aspects of a busy life intervened. Membership lapsed and the car gathered dust. Finally it is the right time and I feel motivated to manage the restoration now. I have no mechanical qualifications and minimal tinkering experience so I'm a bit daunted by many of the tasks that lay ahead. I hope some of the members of this forum will be able to help with my questions. The car's engine hasn't been turned over in 20 years, and I'm initially seeking guidance on preparing to attempt that. The questions I have are more appropriate for the Technical sub-forum so I'll post there, if that's okay? Thanks very much for providing the forum, I look forward to learning from Aussie Packard people. John Attached: Two pictures of 23 years worth of dust and neglect. The third picture shows the potential evident after a quick wash last weekend. Attachments:

G'day John,
Welcome to the PACA Website and the Forums. PACA has a couple of "Technical Officers" and, if you're a member, both are willing to assist with any queries you may have in bringing your '35 Eight Coupe back to life. In the meantime your posts on the PackardInfo Website seem to be getting attention and the advice you require.
If you'd like I'm more than happy to speak with you.
Mal Secretary PACA Inc Mob 0423 171 170.

Hi folks.. anyone be able to help? Looking for a forum to join in 🇬🇧 UK. I have a 1937 Packard vintage log book in my possession, just wanted someone to record details and help me identify model by chassis number. I sell log books and this is the only Packard I have in my 3.000 collection so would help with my listing on EBay.
