My wife and I will be in Coffs Harbour in mid-February so if any Packard lovers are in that area and want to discuss Packards over a cold beer we'll be available. We are restoring a '48 Custom 8 at the moment.

G'day Mike, Welcome to the PACA Website. Unfortunately I won't be in the Coffs Harbour area mid February but will be on on the Gold Coast for a Packard event mid September. Don't know where you are but if it's in that area you're invited! As planning for the Gold Coast event comes together it will be updated in the Upcoming Events area in the Main Menu, if you want to keep an eye on it, here's a link - www.packardaustralia.com/Events.htmPlus, I'm sending you an email.

Unfortunately my wife and I live in New Mexico, USA at the moment...so this particular trip is short. We'll keep checking the car club schedule, however, and see if we can arrange a future trip to correspond with a Packard get-together.

I am interested in buying a Packard, preferably a post 1951 if any are available. Also I have been told there is a property outside Toowoomba in southernQueensland with a lot of Packards stored there. Is this correct or have I been given mistaken advice/

G'day Patrician, Welcome to the PACA Website. And seeing your interested in Packards I invite you to join PACA, owning a Packard is not a requirement to be a member of the club. To join, the easiest way would be to download and complete a membership application from the Website. Here's a link to the form - Membership Application Form.Regarding the property outside Toowoomba with " a lot of Packards stored there" I'm afraid I don't know anything about this. But if you learn any more, could you please let us know? As to post '51 Packards for sale, If I remember correctly there was one on Aussie eBay recently with a Buy it Now of about $6000 and a bid of about $3000 which hadn't met the reserve. Don't know if it sold or not. There is a guy in the club here in Sydney who has a couple of 51/52's, which need work, and may be willing to sell one. I'll refer him to your post.

Did you see the For Sale Forum on the Website? There was a '56 Patrician for sale about 5 months ago, but don't know if it sold. Might be worth giving the poster a call? Link - 56 Patrician For Sale

Hi Patrician. I'm the guy ozstatman is referring to. I have a 51 deluxe that I am keen to sell after buying a 54 convertible. Needs restoration but a good candidate for this. The car does run and sounds ok. Have had the fuel tank internally cleaned and coated and have done the brakes with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder and brake shoe linings.
Still learning to use this. Name is actually convertible
If you want follow up please respond

G'day sandypac,
Welcome to the PACA Website Forums.
Should be fairly easy to ask questions in the Technical Forum. Just log into the Forums, select the Technical Forum and at the top right of the list of topics in the Forum is a Create Thread button, click on that and you should be good to go from there!
