On Gumtree is a '38 Six Sedan Text says this " Beautiful car to drive. Good cruising speed at 100km⁄hr. Fabulous condition inside and out. A real head turner. Has new tyres, new radiator, new exhaust manifold and new valves. Motor purrs and starts first time every time. Car has been fully quality restored previously and now only needs minor work to bring it back to perfect. Or leave it as it is. Interior is in spotless condition. Some minor external rust on chrome and some paint chips need a touch up Club rego. Owner has passed 86 and will lose his license soon. Always shedded. Pictures show car without a cleanup or polish. More pictures available on request." Oops! Forgot the link - www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/edithburgh/cars-vans-utes/packard-6-1938/1088869353

A '41 120 Sedan on eBay. www.ebay.com.au/itm/1941-PACKARD-/291592690580?hash=item43e4475b94:g:1sIAAOSwAYtWIxs9Relisted on eBay - www.ebay.com.au/itm/1941-PACKARD-/291600920160?hash=item43e4c4ee60:g:1sIAAOSwAYtWIxs9Text from the eBay listing - " This 1941 8 cylinder Packard was part of the late Bruce Cooper's collection and is believed to have been used by Admiral Nimitz during the Second World War when he was based in Darwin as part of the Pacific Fleet. It is still in Navy colours of grey and white. The vehicle requires full restoration. Some chromework has been done. Totally rust-free. Night lights have been removed from the front guards. When Mr Cooper had the car he used it to tow an open wheel Maserati (I have a copy of the photograph of this) and he converted the Packard from left-hand drive to right-hand drive. When I acquired the vehicle from his estate I actually got the car going but it had a slight bearing noise so I removed the motor which is still out of the car. It has an overdrive gear box. Would be a beautiful historic vehicle once restored. I have too many projects on the go to be able to finish this vehicle. Has always been under cover. This vehicle has not been driven since 1952. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up from the mid north coast of NSW." EDIT.Sent the seller some questions.Appears to have a dividing window behind the front seat. Is that right or is it just a sheet of glass sitting on the front seat or am I experiencing an optical illusion? Also 2 things about the conversion to RHD. What sort of steering box was used in the conversion? And is the LHD steering box still with the car? Received these answers. No dividing window (just a rear glass out of another car). As for the conversion. The steering box is out of a 1939 Packard 8 (ex Arnott's Biscuits Packard). No LHD steering box. Still have some parts off that 39 Packard that will come with this car Further EDIT(12th Feb 2016) - Now on eBay at $12,000.00 negotiable www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bootawa/cars-vans-utes/1941-other-sedan/1103889649Description - " Packard 8 cylinder sedan believed to have been used as one of Admiral Nimitz's staff cars in WW2. Was part of the Bruce Cooper collection in Sydney. Has been in covered storage for many years. 90% of chromework finished. No rust. Body straight. Requires full restoration. Rare car."

'33 Super 8 LHD 7 Passenger Sedan on Aussie eBay Text in ad says " In 1933 few people could afford a Packard. Sales had gone from over 50,000 in 1928 to fewer than 7,000 by 1933. As a result, only 788 of the 10th series Super Eights were made in all body styles on the large 142" wheelbase. Many collectors regard the 1933 and 1934 Packards as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. And they are great touring cars; with power and ease of handling to match their good looks
The robust straight eight engine has 9 main bearings and displaces 386 cubic inches (about 6 litres). The gearbox has synchromesh. The large brake drums are mechanically operated and vacuum power assisted. This car is 6 wire wheel equipped with excellent wide whitewall 17" tyres.
This 7 passenger sedan has loads of room inside that will appeal to many users. The car is highly original and low mileage. It is currently being recommissioned after many years in dry storage, and will be available for personal inspection from serious parties after the 4th January.
Settlement terms are negotiable, and would include rechroming of the headlights and radiator shell to make this car a show winning candidate.
You are invited to ask further questions through the ebay message system or phone Robert 0427-452388. Thank you for your interest." www.ebay.com.au/itm/1933-Packard-Super-8-/181963564519?hash=item2a5ddfa5e7:g:ipgAAOSwZ1lWcUCr

On eBay is a '47 Super Clipper and the seller is a PACA member! www.ebay.com.au/itm/Packard-1947-Super-Clipper-/191774418230?hash=item2ca6a56536:g:~cYAAOSwYIhWiefIText on eBay ad says: "1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper, rare 7 passenger sedan (massive 148 inch wheelbase), body by Henney. This very original Packard is a three owner car from new, with much history documentation. Imported by myself in 2011 from California, this Packard still retains it's "black" plates. Powered by Packard's magnificent 356 cube senior straight eight engine (the most powerful American car engine available at the time, sorry Cadillac!), backed up with a 3 speed + overdrive transmission plus a 3.92 to 1 diff makes this a very capable highway cruiser. These long wheelbase models were built on Packard's commercial car chassis, and as such everything is bigger, bigger brakes, king pins, chassis etc. The Packard is currently on the Club Permit scheme in Victoria and passed a full Victorian roadworthy inspection. Maintenance tasks completed have been: Complete front end suspension rebuild, including the lever arm shock absorbers. New wiring loom installed. Servicing of all drive line components, including oils, new water pump & belt, new engine mounts, plugs etc. New rear shock absorbers and spring bushings. Complete brake rebuild and service. This Packard drives very well with excellent on road performance. Please call for more information as there is much to discuss."

Jacob, Thanks for posting the link to the '39 120 Sedan on eBay. I'm adding the description and a photo(for posterity) 1939 Packard 120 Sedan
Straight 8 Cylinder
Engine Number: X139458
Body Number: 48249I
6 Volt system, positive earth.
99% complete. Missing door lock knobs and that’s just about it as far as I can see.
Brand new tires, Excelsior 6.50 16. Never driven on road with them.
Engine runs smoothly but may be a cylinder head gasket leak as the coolant water bubbles and dribbles out the cap which does not hold pressure.
Engine oil is clear of water.
24,313 miles on the dash.
Column Shift, 3 speed, R, 1, 2 and High. All gears select well and there is no gearbox or differential noise
Surface rust on roof and in other places, needs repainting
Passenger side running board rusty, but there is a spare one.
All gauges seem to work.
Covers for the wheels arches and underbody are seen on the photo with the spares. They are off the car as they were painted.
Seats need reupholstering, so does door trim, unless you want an oily rag car.
Spares that go with it.
Overdrive
Driveshaft to suit overdrive
Clutch plate lower cover
Distributer cap and rotor
Front glass, and one rear quarter glass
Rear vision mirror
Door handles
6v Globes
Laminated wiring diagram
Various bolts and nuts
Cable and knob
Pair of bumper brackets
Location – DEANS MARSH, VIC
