My '51 radiators (have a couple) leak after only 62 years!!!
There is a local NatRad service here which I will probably use, but wanted to get opinions from any members who can suggest who to use and who to avoid for re-cores.
Also - is there a higher capacity core I could use to assist in avoiding overheating issues?
Any recommendations appreciated thanks. Lee

G'day again Lee, I used JJ Smith Radiators for my '41 120 radiator for cleaning and pressure testing back in 2008 and it's still running cool. Wade had also used them on a number of occasions. I believe JeffC, for his '52 Sedan, had a radiator built by them with a thicker core to help overcome his cooling problems. Thanks again for that info. I have had one quote to re-core mine and it was a massive $1400! You can buy new radiators for around $400 - 500 for modern cars so I do think that's a bit steep.
I'll post regarding the outcome of my investigations.

$1,400 is pretty steep for a radiator without a radiator shutter thermostat housing etc to cater for. How did you go? PT
